RICHIERICH
Purchased one and thought it was an all metal filter but is a blue material with one layer of metal mesh. Just wondered if this was the same as other blitz sus power air filters which some of you guys may have fitted? they are reusable tho but need washing every so many miles but just got the impression they were an all metal filter for some reason! Zugara
Sounds similar to my piper cross filter, I felt a difference staight away. Just pull the filter out once a month and give it a shake out. 5 min job.
JDM Performance
All the Blitz panel filters are indeed like this - as are the Blitz SUS kits. They used to do a Blitz "metal flow" kit which I believe has been discontinued now. I remember seeing filtration tests on them though and they weren't as good as the cotton type ones. Recently Blitz have introduced the "Blitz Advanced Power Air Intake Kit" which features a whole new stainless steel mesh filter design (no filtration data available at the moment though afaik). Hope this helps Chris
milko1966
Blitz LM filters are all cotton gauze, weather it be panel filter or induction kit SUS are stainless steel mesh Sonic filters are cotton gauze, being phased out and replaced with Advanced power, same as sonic, but stainless mesh filter. Blitz only make the LM panel filter for the 350Z, they say they had problems with the check light coming on when they tried to do an induction kit for this model. Hope this helps. ZMANALEX
I have a Zed here at the moment with a Blitz cone shape Sonic Power filter. Looks cool and sounds not to bad. I don't know how well it works though. Alex.
