new insurance categories

Picked this up from specjap. Although by the sounds of it most insurance companies should have already implemented it so this may be a repost.

Looks like they are restructuring insurance categories... So welcome to band 45... another excuse to charge more money next year.

Maybe one of the afiliated insurers could let us know what the likly impact if any will be.

The revised groupings will make little or no difference to the price you pay, they are only there a a rough guide and insurers use their own ratings generally. You need to worry more about rising personal injury claims, fraudulent claims and increasing car repair costs pushing up the prices.

pretty strange that the zed goes from 18 to 45 and the s2000 from 20 to 40...doesnt make sence to me.

got a quote for an s2000 yesturday and it was nearly double what i pay for the zed with the same company.go figure?

As mentioned, the groupings are rough guides only, S2000's carry horrendous claims/loss ratios, for us they are much more of a risk than 350Z's.
