Roo
Picked this up from specjap. Although by the sounds of it most insurance companies should have already implemented it so this may be a repost. Looks like they are restructuring insurance categories... So welcome to band 45... another excuse to charge more money next year. Maybe one of the afiliated insurers could let us know what the likly impact if any will be. http://www.thatcham.org/research/index.jsp?page=
JetSet
Had my renewal through from Axa yesterday, gone up another £50 to £532, could have been a lot worse I guess Pete
Ekona
This happened at least three years ago IIRC. It's all a bit irrelevant though as there's so much more that effects your premium than just what car you drive.
narcotix
I only just found out about the chane in insurance groups last week too ... I read somewhere that it should now be roughly double what it used to be... and if it's more than double, then your insurance policy is likely to go up slightly ... Great! skyinsurance
Maybe one of the afiliated insurers could let us know what the likly impact if any will be. The revised groupings will make little or no difference to the price you pay, they are only there a a rough guide and insurers use their own ratings generally. You need to worry more about rising personal injury claims, fraudulent claims and increasing car repair costs pushing up the prices. As mentioned, the groupings are rough guides only, S2000's carry horrendous claims/loss ratios, for us they are much more of a risk than 350Z's.
