varley16
picked up my new 350z the other day, and love it. the kindly serviced it and replaced front discs and pads, and rear pads. as soon as i drove it away i noticed. 1. clutch squeaks. 2. brakes squeaks. and on top of that i noticed. 3. dash rattles, which i know its a used car and 6 years old so it doesnt bother me 4. left speaker crackles intermitantly. 5. rear washer jet not working. 6. battery cover missing....which im annoyed at, as without that cover it ruins under the bonnet. tomorrow ill have it on the ramp and checking everything before going back to nissan. i have a years warrenty so expect them to be cover as i noticed them straight away. i expect them to fit a battery cover as it should of been noticed on prep. wouldnt mind it its a 500 quid car, but its £10k+
Ricey
If its got Brembos I believe a squeak isn't unheard of....plus if they haven't copper slipped the backs of the pads it can squeal a bit. They're all little things that you do expect to experience on a car but not when you've just bought it........get it back and sorted otherwise it'll take away the enjoyment of the car because they'll nag at you and send you
martinmac
The squeeky brakes may be explained by the fact that they have just changed them, there is a guide on here for bedding them in. The left speaker issue is not unknown. I think you should be able to sort the other issues under warranty.
varley16
well being a tech myself i have been gentle on the brakes, the squeaking appeard after a few miles. ive searched for the left speaker problem, but only found cutting out, where as mine has a crackling noise, i suppose this could be the first stages of a loose connection. the thing im annoyed at moset is the battery cover, as soons as i popped the bonnet, that stood out, with it on under the bonnet would look like a work of art.
