relentless
Hi all, Can anyone give me some pointers on fitting an oem boot spoiler? I've heard of people just using 3m tape though I don't like the idea Of just using this! What do I need? Can I buy a template and the mounting bolts etc? The spoiler has 2 bolts and 2 other mounting holes/ slots. Cheers Mark
Zugara
Cant you measure the centreline to the bolt holes and work out where to drill your holes for the bolts? Thats what I would do, or cut out a template from cardboard
ChrisS
You can make a template from the reverse of the spoiler. I would have thought 3M would suffice, unless you have vandals in your area or where you park her. It's not heavy and with no gaps between it and the lid nothing to lift it. cesc
The 3M tape is more than enough, I had a bootlid spoiler on my old A4 for more than 3 years and it didn't budge one tiny bit using just the tape. I would not be comfortable drilling holes in my car!
