OO...exciting.....

Well it was the fang cover. Opened it up and checked it over. Must say that the quality is great, couldn't find any bubbles or dodgy areas in the CF at all.

I gave it a test fit and it's a VERY tight fit. So tight that it did leave a few scratches on the edges of the bumber fangs. It didn't have any directions as to where to use the 3M tape, so just went along with what I thought. It's such a tight fit that I ended up having to take off the tape along top, flat section.

Anyway, it's all fitted now. Seems strong enough, but I'll have to keep checking over the next few days to make sure it bonds properly and doesn't unstick anywhere - Certainly dont want it dropping off and falling under the car!

Pics are a bit crap, but I'll get a few more during daylight tomorrow. Looking forward to getting the rear Fujimura one now!

Can't agree with that^^, not a fan of CF, where's the weight saving there? Does that fit over the top of what's there already? If so, weight adding

Am I missing the point? Each to their own though :)

doubt it's adding anything remotely noticeable :boxing:

Looks much better than I thought it would, but really need to see it in daylight. It certainly seems to go well with the quartz though, quite subtle.

It wasn't done for the weight saving, although TBH it's really pretty light. If I go for a turd before I drive I reckon it'll break even on the weight difference :teeth:

 Yeah, lovely quote, but, I thought the point of CF was to replace parts and weight save, got that wrong then :dummy:

In most aspects of modifying it is purley styling, the weight saving is very little with most products and if its weight saving your after the the interior is the best place to start tearing things out of.

Im sure he was just trying to get rid of those white fangs in the bumper

CF is a bit like Marmite though I suppose - you either love it or hate it!

I had thought about just getting them DiNoc CF wrapped, but no-one over here does it, so getting a proper CF cover was the only option if I wanted the fangs (and rear bit) done.

I won't be adding any other CF on the exterior, just the front and rear bits. Will probably only be adding it to the interior on the AT transmission gate too.

Oh, and forgot about the exhaust tips too.

Couple of (rainy) daylight ones;-

That looks really good on the quartz.

From what you describe it sounds the same as the one smartmove put on his white 370 (now sold). Somehow I think the gloss looks better on the quartz than it does on white - just my opinion, as I have no regrets about the matt c/f wrap on mine which to my eyes seems well suited with the pearlescent white.

One drawback living on a beautiful island eh, shortage of specialist places to help mod your ZED

Think I'll have to disagree with you for once Colin - that doesnt happen often! I think it looks good on Quartz, but not totally conviced. Think it looks great on white though (both matt wrap and proper CF).

Does look better than I thought, very tempted my self. Think we need more piccies :teeth: I think it might be the lack of contrast in the photos as the car is already so dark. I'm glad someone is doing the CF bits on a 40th in quartz, means I can steal all the better looking bits!

Well it's been peeing down all day, but if it's dry tomorrow I'll get a few more pics. Really need some sun to show it off properly I think, dull and damp isn;t doing it justice!

Should have the rear one early next week, but it's a bit trickier to fit so will have to wait until next weekend to fit it (if impatience doesn't get the better of me) :)

Well the Fujimura rear has now arrived too.

Initial impressions are that it's about the same weight as the front (light) but if you put a strong light source behind it you can see through some of the weave! Wont be a problem once it's fitted though, especially with the quartz behind it, not sure whether it would be more visible fitted to a white car. The surface finish is great though.

I've 3M taped up the diffuser, so will let that sit for 24 hours and hopefully get it fitted tomorrow night, depending on the weather and if I can get a mate round as it looks like a 2 man job to get an accurate fit. Might need to let the 3M bond until the weekend and then fit the underside bolts - not sure my drill is small enough to get under the bumper to drill the four mounting holes.

Will get some pics tomorrow evening, pre and post fitted.

Also heard that the Akrapovic has been shipped from the factory today, but it's going via the UK dealer, so will probably be late next week before it arrives, hopefully it'll be dry on the Saturday for fitting! :yahoo:

All done. Got up early this morning as it realy needed to be fitted during daylight, which means no pre-fitted pics. It was easy enough to fit omn my own in the end.

I followed the instructions that other people had posted and doubled up (one on top of the other) the tape than runs along the top of the diffuser and put strips inbetween the strakes.

So far I've only managed to fit the fog light bolt and ones either side of that, as my drill it too big to be able to fit under the end of the diffuser, but it's rock solid, so should be fine until I get the car jacked up for the exhuast fitting next week. I actually got a spare pack of the stainless screws, so I think I might paint the heads of the spares and swap them over, although I think they are far enough underneath to be noticeable. The general fit is excellent, well pleased. :teeth:

Anyway, usual pics of it on.
