BulletMagnet
Quick question, are the ball joint heads and fixings mace of stainless or not? I still have an old set of INXX ones from years ago that used non stainless on the ball joint heads. Thanks for any info
clarkie34
Yeah I have a set of Tein ones were the ball joints have gone all rusty.May be interested in these if they don't suffer the same problem.
Tarmac@TarmacSportz
Ive asked the question about the ball joints so will let you know. Teins are double the price and are not stainless steel so I doubt these will be tbh. I can treat the ball joints with some rust preventative oil that we use on our machined parts at work to give them extra protection if anyone wishes me to do so. Fixings are black so will be fine. I must add that these are not recommended for Carbon Fibre bonnets though BM.
Madmarky
I must add that these are not recommended for Carbon Fibre bonnets though BM. Although this is true i bought a set exactly the same a couple of years ago and got custom struts made to fit on the brackets as it was easier than getting brackets fabricated. BulletMagnet
I got custom brackets too which use both holes in the bonnet hinge metal thing, so I'm good

Tarmac@TarmacSportz
Ive had confirmation the ball joints are made from steel. Supplier has never had any reports of rusty ball joints and as mentioned I can give them an extra coat of ensis oil to protect them from the element if required. As mentioned - two left at this price so grab a bargain and bling your engine rather than having the crappy prop.
