martinmac
Nope, subs are things that sit on rocks.
bronzee
What a cool toy. It's a bit bigger than a Tonka toy.
martinmac
It still handles like one though.
Vik54
I will get one up and running once I have finished shopping. My old boat has just left for a rig shift in Dundee if anyone local wants a look-see. When will it arrive Martin? We can probably get a shot of it from the bottom of the garden
martinmac
ETA 2000 tomorrow, the job starts on Monday at the moment, I think she is doing two rig shifts in all.

She has a green hull so should be easy to spot.

BulletMagnet
i'd love to work on boats, you looking for any more crewmen? You could try more local, Felixstowe or Harwich maybe
Lexx
i'd love to work on boats, you looking for any more crewmen? Taken me 11 years to get to this position, thats including a total of 4 years in college. However, if you pay yourself through your basic courses (Fire Fighting, Basic Survival, Elementary First Aid, Personal and social responsibilities), and then do your efficient Deck Hand course, some company may take you on as an EDH. YOu then need 6 months sea time before you can become an OS. and a further 6 months and a CPSC certificate before you can become an A/B. Our company only employs officers, as we have no requirement for crew. But as mentioned, there are companies in local ports who may take on. Not sure really as I've only been wokring coastal for a year, and its wholly different to the 10 years I spent deep sea.
