Swiftwizard
Hi All, Does anyone have good advice on best tyres for wet , cold damp weather for my standard 350z,would be appreciated. Really after the best grip especially seeing that frost is setting in already; and not too concerned about price or rate of wear?
rtbiscuit
any winter tyre will be good if cost is no issue, then swap back in the spring.

Dblock
As said a winter one will be good but a snow one may be a little excessive. R
Ekona
Michelin Pilot Sport 2 or Bridgestone RE050A. Best for water clearing bar none.
AK350Z
Vredestein Wintrack get good reviews. I can vouch for the similar Quatrac variant in the snow and ice.

GT4 Zed
+3 on MPS2s But most important are, anticipation, a good feel for grip and a light right foot
greasemonkey1234
+5 for the RE050As as I found they had more feel in the wet than the MPS2s. MPS2s are better in the summer than the RE050As. The Toyo T1Rs are not a bad all round tyre but are not in the same performance bracket as the aforementioned, it feels like they have soft tyre walls. Please do not get the RE040s or RE050s as they are ditch finders, the A bit is VERY important.
Fee
I was wanting to know just the same! Are winter tyres worth the expense?
charrold80
Are the Vredesteins any good for the winter? I'm nearing the time for a new set of tyres and was thinking of getting re-shod with Vredesteins all round.....

I'm nearing the time for a new set of tyres and was thinking of getting re-shod with Vredesteins all round..... i had the sessanta's on last winter and found them to be ok in the snow. your not going to be setting any lap records but there is just about enough traction to get you from a to b if you have to go out. the zed will go on them, but winter tyres would be better.
