djrm
Hi guys! I bought this HU from another member and it installed fine. It's not a bose (which is why I bought it) and when I power it up is just says "Wait" then "Secure". This means it wants a code yes? Can anyone help me? Thanks... glrnet
It does need a code unfortunately, first off, go back to the person you bought it from and see if they have the code, if that fails ask for your money back. It also depends what vehicle it came out of and how old it is, some newer manufacturers head units are "paired" to the vehicle and the only way to un-pair them is to take it in to the stealership, on the other hand it maybe worth looking on line to see if you can find a decoding specialist for the unit you have. This was supposed to be an easy "Swap"... Thanks mate...

Hi mate I managed to get the code online, its a 4 digit one... Only thing is, how do I put it in? When the HU comes on it just says "SECURE" and there doesn't seem be an option for entering a code? Or do you just enter it and it knows?
djrm
Just spoke to a guy at the radio code place and he says to get to the reset point, you leave the HU on for about an hour??? Is that right? Will that reset it?? I have never heard of that before :/
M13KYF
as far as I'm aware it could be a pairing issue. Its linked in with the ECU. Part of Nissans Anti theft security

ChrisUUC
Just to clarify I'm the seller and I was unaware of these issues with headunit swaps with the zeds. I think I'd rather you just return the unit and ill refund in full ... for £70 I just don't think its worth all this hassle. I'll pm you my address now and will refund the money to you tonight. Thanks, Chris
