Ricey
Riceys Missus here! I'll give you an honest list..... (I will ignore the comments he made earlier, will deal with him later I will put him out in the ) Depends what time of missus you have, Girlie, into cars, loves clothes, shoes, handbags, jewellery, etc etc. (meeee) 1) - Jewellery, but not any, look at 'links of London' or 'Tiffanys', (if budget can stretch) If not try http://www.swarovski.com Getting something engraved is always good. like inside of a silver ring, etc. 2) - Radley purse and bag. (Cheshire Oaks outlet villiage have a store with really good discount, I bought a purse from there the other day £28.00 from £45!!) 3) - Shopping spree!! 4) - Concert tickets, or as Paul rightly said about me earlier, I love going the theatre in London, always a good treat, gets you away too. 5) - Always good to though in a few dvd's / cd's or a good book to read. I'll give it a rest now, hope this helps. I LOVE XMAS! I know what I'm getting Paul.............more cleaning products so he can spruce my Zed up! JAMIE MOY
Hi guys and girls, i did this last year on the tt forum and it was very productive. as we all know its quite hard to buy decent thoughtful presents for your other half so if every one posts up a couple of presents they are buying this year then it will inspire others and everyone will have a merry christmas sorry if its a little early just trying to be prepared. kevlo - a furby (twenty years too late but she keeps hinting) and a half decent watch for work. not much i know but all i got so far If you can't think of what to buy her then why don't you buy a picture frame and place the money in there.... I did..... all £1,000 of it.........
Vik54
jaysus you lot haven't got a scooby have you! well Ricey's mrs has given you some pointers, here's some more ; If you're going down the undies route FFS steer clear of Anne Summers and M&S...head for Agent Provocateur if you're feeling flush http://www.agentprovocateur.com/?isource=ga09&cmp=PS010203&gclid=CP7ZwZTJxaQCFU0_4wodTkbCWQ or Bravissimo if she's got big bangers http://www.bravissimo.com/default.aspx?utm_source=msn&utm_medium=cpc%20&utm_term=bravissimo&utm_content=506392428&utm_campaign=3636914041 If you're going down the jewellery route stick to silver or white gold or platinum....DO NOT BUY YELLOW GOLD! And if you're skint a voucher book will never fail...it requires effort and thought- make up a load of coupons that have different things on like.."Back rub"...."Dinner for two"...I'll leave the bedroom favours to your own imagination
Neilp
lol my missus is fussy as hell. For her birthday, limited edition chanel sunglasses and a couple of hundred spending.. went down a treat. Christmas is generally a time of the year where im skint as she like the usual chanel bags, tiffany jewellery, shopping in selfridges. Defo agent provocateur but take her with you or you'll look like your just in for a perv(credit card also required) ann summers for sexy time stuff always go's down a treat (dont buy porn though, even if you insist its for her pleasure she probs wont believe u) Also sexy pj's go down well Chanel watches Chanel perfume
Stew
To be honest some of the presents with the least value have gone done the best. You know the little things you throw in. For instance Jayne is really fussy about nail files..... So I bought a set of glass nail files and had swarovskis in the shape of a J put on them. Didn't cost a lot but they are used all the time and she loves them. I do a few things like that every year. Big presents show you have money. Thoughtful presents show you care. JetSet
I'm almost sorted. Caroline starts talking XMas around July 23rd, the day after her birthday, so I usually give in around October. Here's the list. 1 350Z, Gave her the 4k needed to to make up the PX Difference. 2 Samsung Netbook, really handy and I can use it too . 3 HP Laserjet Printer, something she "needed" for her cardmaking hobby. 4 Still need something for her to open on XMas day, I'm open to suggestions .(should I get her something for the Zed? ) Pete

Carla is allergic to animals so I adopted her a meerkat for her at the zoo - she loved it......then she went and got 5 degus and itched a lot but still it was thoughtful at the time! Sarnie
Things that (most) women like: Sparkly things Expensive things Romantic things Thoughtful things Being pampered Posh Hotels Nice restaurants Clothes Perfumes Flowers Times when you have to buy presents: Birthdays Xmas Valentines Day Anniversay Mothers Day (**** me no wonder I'm broke!) The key to buying the right present is ensuring you buy the right present for the right occasion. Flowers at xmas wouldn't go down well but are great on Valentines etc. Most women don't just want something that costs loads. They want to see that you have listened to them ( ) and that you have applied that knowledge and bought something that they really need/want. One area to avoid is to buy them a household appliance such as a vacumm, iron, washing machine etc

Husky
[rant] ha! you say they like things that dont cost loads etc. my ex hinted for ages she wanted a really fancy & expensive jewellery box for our 3 year anniversary. I decided as i had a bit of free time i would repeatedly sneak off and make one from scratch that was almost the same but all hand made by me. It was the shizzle fashizzle when i was done! she opened it and later said, "It's not the one i pointed out" never let out a bigger sigh in my life. Apparently i didn't tailor it for a specific bit of jewellery she wanted to put in it from that day i became a cynical old man so girls, have an xbox game, oh you dont want it? i can make good use of it [/rant] no hang on.... she's an ex, never mind :kicking

Ricey
This is the way to do it!! Couple of years back though.........ignore my condescending voice Bagged up the MX5 and stashed it at bodelwyddan castle a few days earlier - the 'present' was a night in the hotel at the castle (which was god awful and therefore made the real present even better). http://s1204.photobucket.com/albums/bb411/ricey001/?action=view¤t=MOV00157.mp4 What made it even better was when we drove into the car park she pointed at it and said 'THATS how I want my MX5 to look'
