Odd request - approach angle

fov

Recommended Posts

Hi,

Im looking at buying a 350z but I live in a house with a (very) steep driveway. I was wondering if anyone could measure standard ground clearance at the very front and the distance between the very front and the wheel middle?

Its just there is no point getting to hopefull if it wont go up the drive!

Cheers

For sure don't drive forward down the slope, reverse only.

Reason being is that I have a slightly awkward driveway, if I drive off forwards I scrape, drive off backwards and there are no issues in the slightest.... Can't tell you why, but I'm sure it's to do with the overhang difference between the front and the rear?

id love to be able to try it from a dealer but the nearest one at a dealer is just short of 50 miles away.

Dont think they would be too happy with me taking one that long.

I have a Civic Type R at the mo which is pretty low and providing you get the right angle it gets away with it but wrong angle and the plastic lip under the bumper catches.

Quite aware of the snow issue. Fell out with the neighbors last winter with a car abandoned infront of their house round the corner, not that it worries me.

Where about's are you located? Maybe a forum member who is near by can pull up for a cuppa

OK form a que to see if your car grounds on the OPs drive..:lol:

I said pull up, not race up........ I am sure fov will be on hand to shout just before the grounding begins...... if it happens at all :lol::lol:
