martinmac
Not definite yet but we are struggling to find someone clever to set up the comms on one of our tugs based in London. It seems nobody is interested. If anyone would like to volunteer it will save me a lot of hassle. Any clever comms guys out there.
Bradders
Fairly straightforward a premicell connection. I'm assuming you are going to run a switch off the back of it. Might be best looking at a Lake Versatilty(nice and cheap those). Versatility uses 2 wire voice and analogue handsets, which would be suitable for that kind of environment. Comes with Voicemail module too if you want to use it locally on the switch, so the Message waiting light can be lit etc. I'm off from work next week but if you PM I can have a chat with a supplier and see if they can help, as I use them for bespoke stuff like this. I did one on a engineering train, for a BCM50, a few years back. Bradders

martinmac
But I understood it A Premicell is basically a clever box that converts analogue signals to digital so they can be transmitted through a mobile connection. We have Mobile broadband but the fax needs a premicell to work. I think.
