andlid
i'll defo take one assuming it works all good...what could possible go wrong! Will fitting instructions be included? Thanks everyone for your interest! Mark - yes I'll write up some good fitting instructions once I've trial fitted on my car, explaining step-by-step. I'll ring my guy tonight and see if we could possibly produce more than twelve (but less than 24!). have a guide for fitting a pure plenum spacer that you could adapt I'm sure
andyzed
Put me down for one as well once it's been tested
HaydnH
I'd take 1 if it would fit the '07 on engine. Oh well... still 14 is good enough: 1, ma'z'y 2, Jed 3, mc 4, Neilp 5, 350 Russ 6, Daryl 7, gazhull8474 8, marcuscollings 9, chippychip123 10, James B 11, UNABASHED 12, markjohnson1984 13, kite 350 14, andyzed

I've got a HR... so no point for me and I believe it's a 1 piece plenum anyway...

MattMe
Can I jump in on this too? Sounds awesome, when would they be made anyway? Just got a few more bits to sort out yet. Wanted to know the interest was there before taking it any further. Seems it is Hopefully be making the first test unit for my car in the next couple weeks. I'll keep the thred updated with any progress... Some people asking about if they fit to later model engines, which I believe they do, but not sure on the gains against pre '06 engines. Think the biggest gains come with fitting alongside the MREV2 lower plenum chambers too.
introspect
Will you be supplying the 6 extended bolts and nylon bushes needed for re-fitting the upper plenum once the spacer is installed?

Tarmac@TarmacSportz
Just out of interest are you supplying them with gaskets ? Ive seen one without gaskets and whilst it does the job you can hear air getting out as its difficult to seal metal to metal. Plus its worth noting that the fitter will need a torque wrench as the plenum is a delicate piece of kit that will crack if you over tighten it even slightly too much. Also, I think I still have the motordyne guide and material list (bolts etc) if you need it - pm me if required and I will see if I can dig it out
GT4 Zed
Good job Matt. It should be a piece of cake to supply all the necesary fiitings and guide I had the MD 5/16th spacer then sold it for a custom 1/2" spacer which came without any fitings. I got all from a specialist Nuts and bolts shop on ebay for under £20 including custom nylon spacers. I used the factory metal gasket and there no leak. Because the 1/2" is slightly taller and potentially rub on the strut or not clear the bonnet i measured everything carefully and cleared everything with longer bolts and and plastic spacers for both strut and the plenum note that the threads are different for the strut and plenum They do all finishes and types of not and bolts etc and custom lenghts at short notice and similar price to std imperial/metric ofshelf items. i'll find the link to their shop for you. MattMe
Still on it! Still got a few bits to sort out. Trying to find the most cost effective way of sorting gaskets and nylon bits. Considered liquid gasket for ease/price, but not sure how you'd all feel about that? Also considering laser cutting if it'll save mcuh on the overall cost. Maybe get it below the £100 mark. Maybe... Otherthanthat it's looking good

evilscorp
Put me down for one, if it does the job same as the others and it doesnt mean removing my strut bar(except to fit it) i would be happy.
MattMe
Just a quick update... Been put off this little project for a while due to some 'personal issues' but it's back on track now Sorry for the delay, and lack of updates. Some costs involved I'd not expected, bits costing & being more difficult to get hold of than I imagined! Should hopefully have a test item fitted to my car in the next couple weeks, so will update on how it goes. Sounds as though I can get as many as required, so long as it's more than 12, so everyone who wants one should be able to get one. More on that in the future... Don't like writing about it too much as I've not paid my trader membership yet, and don't want to be too cheeky with 'advertising' it. Will get it done soon. Cheers, Matt. Sounded like a great idea but like many things on here never seems to have got off the ground. Can you give us a timescale to completion, cost update or I think I'll have to go with the Motordyne too.
