Hey people, new...obviously...and looking to buy into the wonderful world of the 350! To get started, I've currently got a 2006 Silver Hyundai Coupe 2.0SE, I love it to bits, its cheap (except when you go to repair stuff as with all "affordable sports cars" lol), it has lots of kit and looks great, but around mid-march I'll be wanting to change. Few reasons for this, i'll be 25 lol, the snow will have buggered off and my m8 works (and hopefully still will) at Nissan.

First things first, I bought the coupe because I like sports cars, supercars, something that was made for the purpose from the ground up, not a 3series with 2 less doors or a hot hatch, not a fan....no. I like being low, wide and purposeful, no matter how much of a **** you sometimes may look, so the 350Z... I adore. I have test driven one, loved it, found it surprisingly easy to drive despite near 300bhp (not driven one in the rain mind you lol) and it has lots of kit. Ideally I'll be after a silver GT.

Read over the "buyers guide" which I found very useful, and I'll have many questions i'm sure over the next little while and hoping to gain on some of your experiences...as this is a big buy for me. Insurance is.... DEAR... very DEAR, but im' willing to put the money buy and pay it. Its annoying, the cars I look it are either too dear to buy and ok to insure or cheap and dear to insure.... lol This doen't help matter when I have 3 points for speeding (no biggie) but then some idiot who does not know how to go round lanes in a roundabout is causing me to loose my NCB because there saying its not their fault and the insurance company are crap (ECAR...never use, i will be changing lol). It would have been £1400.... dear but for me...acceptable...it will be however £2400... mad? Possibly... but I think its worth it lol. Anyway... hi...more questions soon lol

Hello & :welcome:

Sorry but I'm in a bit of a grumpy old man mood this morning, but can anyone tell me why some people have to put "lol" after every sentence, makes no sense to me at all. Grumpiness over.

LOL means lots of love. Some people are very loving.

makes even less sense now

I'm pretty sure there are members here under the age of 25 with Zed's, or who had Zed's before they were 25. No idea what they pay but I'm sure one of them will be along with some info for you soon. Good luck with your search and welcome to the forum :)

There's quite a few of these Insurance posts floating about on here, if you do a simple search I'm sure all the recent ones will be able to give you some idea. For the record I'm 23 and payng £940 on insurance.

That's quite amazing really, I guess living in Ledbury would contribute to keeping the cost down? My insurance company Axa won't allow anyone under 30 to drive mine...BTW, I'm 61 have a clean license and max no claims and pay £484 with a Chester postcode.

I think most of the time peopl use the term 'LOL' it means 'Laugh Out Loud', and isn't used in a literal sense. It just means something made them smile, or that they are joking and didn't want you to read the sentence too seriously. Either that or a lot of people I talk to on the internet are sat by themselves laughing hysterically at the computer.

Scary.

:offtopic:

Anyway, back to the original question! I was 25 when I got my Zed and went with Direct Line. Privelege gave some good quotes, but I'm with Adrian Flux now on a multi-car discount whic if you can get (ie live in a house with someone else who has a car) you won't beat it. I pay £650, and the best alternative was around £1200 (but I don't live in a particularly good area at the minute).

Either that or debadge it, and stick Meastro 1.0 stickers on the back and find your insurance drop massively.

(That was a joke, but I didn't LOL. Obviously not that good a joke)
