shunter Posted September 21, 2010 Posted September 21, 2010 Guys - does anyone know if there's a way to override the need to agree to the Sat Nav terms every time I start the car? It's a 2006 Sat Nav with 08 DVD. Every time I start the car I need to press enter to agree to the terms and conditions of using the Sat Nav. Is this a fault, or a feature? Cheers for any help! Quote
The G Man Posted September 21, 2010 Posted September 21, 2010 370 is the same, I would be surprised if this could be overridden, Nissan's liability disclaimer, more apt for the Merkins me thinks Quote
geoff-r Posted September 21, 2010 Posted September 21, 2010 No way to over ride it unfortunately, so get using that index finger! Quote
Chris`I Posted September 21, 2010 Posted September 21, 2010 You can get a module in the States that does this. Dont know if it works with the UK cars, but they do have them. Its just a relay that senses when the sat nav starts and "presses" the button Dont think there is one for the 370z yet though. I dont mind in the 370z as you can use the Enter button on the steering wheel Quote
shunter Posted September 21, 2010 Author Posted September 21, 2010 hmmm hoped there was a combo of buttons or something that would unlock the need to keep agreeing. It doesn't hugely bother me, but more worried constant pressing of the little joystick enter button could wear it out. I remember the old Sony Ericsson mobiles, the joystick enter buttons broke all the time (might just be my fat thumbs) Quote

Sarnie Posted September 22, 2010 Posted September 22, 2010 This sounds like the least stressful problem I've ever heard of Quote
shunter Posted September 22, 2010 Author Posted September 22, 2010 I'll admit, I wont be selling the car over it - just seems like a bit of stupid thing of Nissan to make you do that every time you start the engine. Quote
Chris`I Posted September 22, 2010 Posted September 22, 2010 It has to display it by law in some countries. It would make logical sense that you could disable it in the software where not required, but I havent heard of a way of doing it yet Quote
spursmaddave Posted September 22, 2010 Posted September 22, 2010 1 - Change it for a Pioneer 2 - Hack it 3 - Enjoy button click free start up (This is a fairly expensive option) Quote
