_BR1TT0N_
Hey guys, I have some eibach springs ready to be fitted to the zed and was just wondering how easy it is to do yourself? I really want to know how to be able to do it myself but I don't want to mess anything up or damage the car. And also fed up of paying garages to do everything for me lol anyone has some experience doing this? And anyone have any hints or help you could give me please? Thanks
BulletMagnet
the rears are the easiest, the fronts require removal of the shocks. You'll need spring clamps, a jack, set of sockets and spanners and elbow grease
TADDY
i didn't need spring clamps
SteveW
Getting the damper rod top nuts off is a PITA unless you have an airgun, you need a swan necked spanner and a pair of big grips to hold the damper rod still. Its pretty easy on the whole though to be honest just wangling of the shock around to get it out of the arch is a pain. Good luck.
SteveW
Oh yes one other thing don't forget to mark the postions of the camber bolts on the rear before loosening them so you can get the alignment something like in the right position when you put it all back together. _BR1TT0N_
Thanks guys! Got it all lowered in the end! Ended up taking it to mission motorsport lol I bottled trying to do it myself! Well worth it tho! Changes the look quite a bit. Now it's dropped 1.2inch (30mm), what size rims and how do I go about tyres making a diff to fill the arches better?
