martinmac Posted September 10, 2010 Share Posted September 10, 2010 Well it looks like this is going to happen. We are still in the planning stage so I will update the first post as details come in. The plan is to hold this in June but not the first week as it will clash with Tatton Park. It will be a weekend event, Friday/ Saturday and Sunday. The venue we are approaching is very car friendly and hosts many car meets and shows during the year. The RS owners attned with around 200 cars every year and are very well looked after. There will be a drive out for those that want it. Camping is an option but there are limited rooms at the venue and plenty of other options close by. You will be about 30 minutes from the central lake district so lots of things to do if you want to nip off for a while. I am hoping that the Scots members may travel down for this as they miss out on many of the big Jap shows down south. LakeZ 2011 is confirmed for Fri 24th, Sat 25th and Sunday 26th June 2011. It will be at the Heaves Hotel near Kendal. The Hotel will be providing light refreshments and snack during the day. If the weather is not seasonal the band will be playing in the hotel so no problems there. The Wales event I thought would cater for this, but seems a large number of people just haven't posted their names. Something more chilled out with the option of going off during the day would suit the Mrs as she has never been to a meet before. Being a teacher though, she & I won't be over till the friday night. JK will be approaching the venue over the next few days so I will be able to add some more info to the first post then. It would be amazing to get as many to this event as possible. What about hiring a room/venue for a big and with some or thrown in.
