Is GM paint easy to match ?

I managed to scrape front bumper and wing on garage door  Very small scratch on wing, but down to metal and scrape on bumper.

I've had a couple of quotes, and both places will 'blow in' entire wing and bumper. I'm really nervous on colour match, but assured by both it will not be visible.

Anyone had similar on their GM and can testify this will be the case ?

(I'm North Essex but will travel and pay the price for a perfect job).

Thanks....

I was informed that metallic paint respray will never be a perfect match due to the clear coat. Clear coat has a yellowish tarnish when the car is actually out on the road and the UV rays do their thing.

Easiest way too see a re-spray, is too look at a car under a street lamp at night.

Can you not get a company like chips away to have a look and see what they can do?

What metal do you have on your bumper???

Had some of mine resprayed and i cant tell where one stops and other starts! According to paintshop chap you sometimes see difference on plastic vs metal but any good shop should be able to blend it its not a nightmare colour.

Guess it depends on body shop.

I had a pearl red car once... one place flat refused to work on it the colour was that hard to match.
