Demolition49
So it arrived today, quite excited to put it in and hmm dont know why but the car seemed faster, and i could definitely hear a difference in sound from the engine, although it was a minor difference it sounded better! And the car seemed to feel more responsive.... Maybe this is all in my head but i only gave her a spin for half a mile after the filter was popped in my stock box, possibly the ecu hasnt adjusted? Anyway im pleased!
Ian
Ecu takes a while to adapt. Seems to be about 50/60 miles

Posidrive
Perhaps a dumb question from Mr. No Mods, but does a replacement albeit "performance" drop in filter have to be declared expecially if the ECU is going ot negate the effects once it has finished learning. Surely this would mean that you would have to declare any non OEM parts used on the car. Low drag wiper blades anyone
un1eash
I wouldnt class a replacement panel filter a mod, its like putting in V power or better spark plugs/leads. Its just a non OEM branded part.
rtbiscuit
agreed a change in panel filter is not a mod worth declaring. if it was a full intake change then yes.
