350ash Posted September 2, 2010 Posted September 2, 2010 Was that at the roundabout linking the M1 and the A45 near Weedon? I drove past a lorry which looked just like that on Tuesday this week. Quote
350ash Posted September 2, 2010 Posted September 2, 2010 I hope it wasn't the same driver that did both then, that would be a pretty crap week at work! Quote
Ruddles Posted September 2, 2010 Posted September 2, 2010 If the left axle gives in, wheel blowout or most common cause top heavy load which ISN'T held on cradles or straps then this can happen. Mind you've got to be a fairly unlucky driver too! Quote
Zugara Posted September 2, 2010 Author Posted September 2, 2010 Wind? Think you might need Windeeze Colin. Quote
bronzee Posted September 3, 2010 Posted September 3, 2010 Wind? Not the sort that Zugara is referring to, but yes it's quite a common occurance for a large truck to basically either be blown over or picked up the wind and thrown down on it's side, especially if the rig is empty, say having dropped of a load of gear. Ruddles is onto it. Quote
rich5259 Posted September 3, 2010 Posted September 3, 2010 there was one like that on the M40 between Jct3 and 2 south-bound on monday morning - but on a straight bit going up hill Quote
