H5
My current daily drive is up for sale. With new baby coming I have just got me a newer Volvo coming. The details..... This car was my Dad's company car in 1995, it was sold to a long term customer of his, he bought it back off her when she changed her car. My Mum then used it before I took it off her about 4/5 years ago. 1995 M Volvo 440 2.0i GLT Tax and MOT until April 2011 (would get another MOT today) Just over 126k miles (little over 8k miles pa) Full official Volvo service history to 2003. My family work at a main dealer so from then I have had the work done there but the book runs out of space at 100k! Replacement gearbox and clutch in 2006 The specification:- 2.0 petrol, fuel injected engine, giving me 34.8mpg average at the moment. On a run over 40mpg. ABS Air conditioning Heated front seats Info centre (fuel consumption, temps etc) Half leather interior Power steering 15" 5 spoke alloys with Toyo Proxes T1R tyres (good tread) Electric tilt and slide sunroof Electric windows all round Remote central locking Single slot Panasonic CD player (actually got some JL audio TR speakers in front doors too!), with an OEM RF modulator CD changer The car has been hugely reliable with the only glitch being when the gearbox went and when an aftermarket immobiliser became faulty (now removed). Known points:- When not started for a day or two it occasionally gets lumpy on acceleration for the first half mile Occasional higher than average idle (little over 1k) Scuff on OSR bumper Rust bubble on OSF wing NSR door central locking not working Intermittent starter motor issue - not had time to investigate Overall the paintwork is very good (see the pictures) with a few spots of lacquer wearing and general wear and tear dings. I have no idea how much it is worth to someone - so starting at £550 ono. Now £300 ono!!!
H5
And I have a bag of random parts to go with it, including a clutch, and headlight unit and door handles (amongst other bits!)

H5
Sadly not RWD no. Otherwise it could've become a trackday project (subject to space and her indoors.......)

H5
That interior is What's wrong with it?! It is 90's design but it's more comfortable than a lot of modern cars! Replacement is one of these, coming next week One of the best interiors on any mass produced car IMO So I need to get the 440 off the drive people..... H5
Thanks for those who showed some interest. With the starting problem comingback this week I wasn't comfortable passing it on to someone who might rely on it for work. So this morning the grim reaper came to collect the car and take it to it's maker! Pics will follow when I get time!
