Millzzz
The missus bought me a 'day out in a supercar' thing for my birthday a couple of years ago. Only last weekend did I finally get the chance to do it due to work commitments. The day was held at Prestwold hall, Leicestershire with Everyman racing. She didn't know which car to go for so paid a bit more & gave me the choice. I logged onto the website to redeem the voucher, aiming away from the more fancier Ferrari's & Lambo's & aim towards the Audi R8. I look down the list of cars - & there it was, the Nissan GTR . . . Didn't even look further down the list! Anyhoo, enough of my tripe. Here's the video & pics! Me, waiting patiently for someone to notice that I'm next in que & get me in that GTR!!! Pulling out of the pit lane . . . Professional pics (Not crappy iPhone lol) Video of the drive. Please bear in mind this was my first time on a track, let alone in such a prestigious car! I thought I did ok. My main aim was to overtake a Lambo lol. The missus decided whilst we were there that she wanted to go on a passenger ride with the stig in a Dodge Viper lol V10 Viper A little too excited A bloody amazing day. Quite costly but the rush of that car is incredible, I'm going to start saving now

Roo
Nice pics. I think my brother had a viper experience somewhere else. He loved it. i did the lambo/gtr experience thingy. I would definatly do it again. Although i must say i found the galardo a more engaged drive.
Ekona
Overtaking on the right Bad habit to teach people on track, even if it's your own day. Why change from what everyone else in the world does? That said, seemed pretty good instruction to me and it doesn't look like they limited the car at all. Do you know if any on the day were limited? How much were the 4 laps, and did the price change on what car you drove?
mab1
To be fair, I think you did well there. You dont get any real time to condition to the car and its responses, and it can be a challenge listening to the constant stream of instruction in a short space of time. I did a Ferrari day there a few years ago now. I clearly remember getting momentarily confused in a manual F360, after driving a 328 with a dog leg box and slowed to a crawl by the pit lane trying to work out where the right gear was, much to the amusement of the spectators! That said I think I owned a Cavalier at the time, so wasnt exactly experienced in performance cars.. Good fun, just over too quickly. Millzzz
Cheers mab, I was a bit . . . apprehensive when I was queuing up & getting in . . .& half way round the first lap lol. I think after another lap or two I could of pushed it a lot harder Easiest way to answer the pricing questions http://www.everymanracing.co.uk/ They do let you hoof it but are more than quickly onto you when a corner's coming up to 'remind' you to slow down early enough. I can only speculate as to why they told us to overtake on the right. I'd imagine as all but one of the turns is a right turn, it'd be easier to pass as you exit a corner on the inside (As I did past the Lambo & Aston), but I am just guessing. That's what I've heard Roo, there's so much computer gizmo's in the GTR, it pretty much drives for you! Apparently the Lambo's brakes are a lot sharper (?). All I know is, I love Jap cars so the GTR was the ONLY option Was surprised to hear that they're just a 3.8TT! I thought it was more like a 5 litre lol! Millzzz
Looks a fabulous experience but over all to soon. The acceleration of the GTR is very impressive, want one. Me too lol. As in, I've been window shopping! Think it'll be a hell of an upgrade! I think I'd save up for one though, don't fancy being in debt with those servicing costs :S
