OddBod
Whilst insuring my Z to get it taxed ready for collection in two weeks I noticed that the two insurance companies I went to for quotes (FYI Direct Line £464, UK Insurance £905!!) both had the engine capacity listed as 3896cc. I thought the 370Z was a 3.7l (3700cc) engine? The guy from UK Insurance was adamant their data was correct (Direct Line was arranged on line and not changeable). Am I wrong in my assumptions about the Z's engine size? Or has anyone else had a similar experience? If I'm right I guess I'll need to let the insurance company know. martinmac
I always thought it was 3696.
OddBod
That could explain it. Someone (probably someone with a serious hang over ) could have read the '6' as an '8' and then typed the data in wrong. It would be interesting to know how many other members have their engine capacity listed as 3896cc.

realneal370z
I had the same issue, especially with the black edition. my company esure said they agreed it was wrong but it was better to over-insure and so they jjust put it down as 3896. they were aware of the problem
P15UL T
Lol. Does this mean you could get a stroker kit fitted to take ut up to 3.9l then and not need to tell the insurance
