AdamWatkins
Hello, I have read on many forums (even a US 350z Manual - http://www.courtesyparts.com/nissan-man ... n-350Z.pdf - Page 109) that it is possible to open the windows from the key fob. Is this possible on the UK models? I have an 05 Roadster and cannot for the life of me make those windows move. The theory is push and hold the unlock button on the key fob, seems easy enough.... Also is it possible to get a remote roof open/close? and more importantly... remote engine start??? Thanks for any help!
Zugara
I dont think you would be able to open and close the roof with a fob, what is going to latch and unlatch the centre handle?
dyla350z
You need a clifford for auto start but not rec for manuals,i started my supra when i left it in gear & it rammed the moter in front i looked a right t**t
AdamWatkins
Thanks guys, ill look into the clifford. Although... I don't fancy accidentally booby-trapping and remote launching my car into something!
spursmaddave
Can't really see the point or need for remote starting maybe a remote button for the heated seats in the winter would be nice Remote window opening / closing would be nice, still not got round to fitting my bits to open close the mirrors remotely, maybe someone could adapt this to do the windows too but not me
rich5259
you'll need to bypass the cut-out on the clutch pedal to get a remote start to work - or keep a brick in the car to wedge it down

Remote start is certainly possible and something I am looking into at the moment. The obvious benefits of would be warming up the car on a cold day, or even cooling a car down on a hot day. I will post more as I look into it
narcotix
I had remote start on one of my previous cars and have to say it was ideal in the winter ... I don't think my insurance company liked the idea of it too much...
Greekman
Main prob with the remote start is the Zed's useless handbrake. If i am not sure i v left it in gear i always go back to double check. Thats why i am out.
