Shaun1982
Does anyone know if any companies insurance cars just for theft or damage, I'm not at all happy with my renewal with Chriss Knott being £106 a month compared to £70 now so I'm considering leavin it at home & not driving it while it's up for sale. Ekona
Some of the specialists might, try CCI or REIS. Personally I'd try them (and others) anyway to get your premium down, and I certainly wouldn't pay it monthly as they rape you like that. Even chucking it on a credit card and paying it off over a couple of months will see you better off.
M13KYF
insurance has gone up nationwide though so you cant just blame Chris Knott also worth pointing out that if its monthly its over 10 months and not 12 with CK for a years insurance
Shaun1982
I wasn't exactly happy with this years £840 either though. The cars for sale so I don't wanna get stuck with paying loads out still because the insurer 'isn't good with standard normal cars' like I've had before. If I went to AF it's £141 deposit then 10x £101. Not happy with that either. Haven't paid £100 a month since I was 18 and had a very heavily Modded car

From what I've heard all premiums are on a rise due to a increase in payouts this year in the insurance business
Shaun1982
The over policy is cheaper from AF at £915 compared to CK at £969 but it's only £5 a month difference. Don't know what to do really, not drivin it seems the best option seeing as I don't want to pay £100+ lol I'd like to think the car will be gone soon, mind you even reducing it yo £8250 still hasn't got me a single offer
M13KYF
sorry your correct. Have you gone back to CK with your cheaper quote from AF

CK@Chris Knott Insurance
Don't forget you paid a deposit last year and not this so that is why your monthly payments are more as well.
Shaun1982
I'm sorting the insurance out this afternoon. Going back to sky, smashed the other prices out of the water at £850!

I know its good to be different with tastes and all that but your black bonnet and green wheels will be putting 99% of people off. People struggle to sell modded cars and the way yours looks at the moment isnt going to make it sell over night. Just my opinion buddy
Shaun1982
Tar dude but I just can't paint a carbon bonnet, it's just not allowed lol. The green on the rims is only tape so that's not a problem. I might just sell the bonnet & buy the first decent standard one that comes up & get it painted at this rate

Go back to standard is the answer. I only got offered 6.5k trade in on an ST for my 03 'slightly modded' import with 53k miles... Obviously I told him he must be on drugs as 'we buy any car' offered me more than that when I looked out of curiosity and I had put the details down as being totally standard
Shaun1982
Shite really isn't it. I haven't got long before I've gotta start paying my mortgage so I guess I'll have to reduce mine again to£7995 or something. Like I say reducing it to £8250 still didn't even get me any questions asked I don't want to get rid anyway but having to pretty muchgive it away aswell is just an extra kick in the teeth
spursmaddave
Not a good time to be selling huh, you would have thought someone on here might have been interested. I agree with the comments on the bonnet, makes it look like its been thrown around too much
Shaun1982
It's a shame people think that really,in all honesty I don't drive the car anything like it should be.I get told loads what's the point in having that if you just drive normally & very rarelygive it beans. My answers always the same, I bought it for how it looks not it's engine. Simples
