jollyranchers
If you had an absolute maximum budget of 14k which zed would you choose ? Im at a bit of a dilema really , do i buy a cheaper z say a 53 or 54 plate for say £11 - 12k then have some money to put a nismo kit on and maybe change the wheels. Pros - Mod money , cheaper tax , a bit of money left over Cons - probably higher mileage 45 k plus maybe non Gt spec. or Do i buy the newest and low mileage zed i can afford which is probably a 06 plate with 20 - 30 k any mod bit by bit. Pro's - New car,low mileage Cons - car tax will be ,£435 a year instead of £235. right at the top of my budget , by the time i have added a few bits car will have cost me another few grand. Choices at the moment - choice 1 - http://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/ ... ogcode=flp top of budget , wasnt really my top colour, good mileage otherwise ok choice 2 , http://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/ ... ?logcode=p love the colour but why did it have to be non GT ?!, do i put up with no leather ? Garage said they will do a deal for £13500 choice 3 http://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/ ... ?logcode=p i like this one but really wanted something with no more than 35k miles choice 4 http://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/ ... ?logcode=p this one seems quite cheap , would have some extra mod money but non gt so no Rays or leather Am i just a fussy bugger ?!! help me make my mind up ! rich5259
I would say wait for one to come up on here with a few mods already done +1 +2 OR you could find a bit more budget and buy mine
spursmaddave
I would say go for a cheaper one if you intend to mod it as you will never get back the money you spend when you come to sell it anyway. You will then have plenty of spare £££ for all the lovely bits you crave... Obviously as said if you can find one with all the bits done then thats great, but its difficult as its a VERY presonal thing modding and anyway most of the fun is getting new bits, opening up boxes full of bubble wrap and fitting them yourself
clarkie34
I think it all depends on what mods you want to do.I'm looking at selling mine at end of September with over 10k in mods, but not advertised it yet.
jollyranchers
mods to be done will probably be nismo kit , exhaust , spacers , maybe wheels, lowering springs and a trip to abbey..... just debating whether to go for one of the cheap z'ds with cloth seats and try and source some 2nd hand gt seats. what are the buttons on the right hand side of the steering wheel on GT models is it cruise control ? can you retro fit a sub behind the drivers seat in a non gt ? clarkie34
Don't think you will get much change out of 5k for that lot. Yes the buttons on the right are cruise control. As for getting one without leather, don't think you would save much.
chrisjones6699
My biggest regret was not buying from someone here. I rushed into the sale and I'm paying for it big time! A lesson learnt!
Wasso
[album][/album] I think it all depends on what mods you want to do.I'm looking at selling mine at end of September with over 10k in mods, but not advertised it yet. If you want a very smart tidy car clarkie's car is the one. I'm jealeous I can't get it myself.
Ekona
Personally I'd buy the newer car every time if you can afford it. If you buy one with all the mods done you'll save money but then have nothing left to call your own or take enjoyment from modding.

Danny 350Z
I'd by a newer, unmolested, low mileage Zed. The car looks sweet enough that it doesn't have to be modded imo.
CrumbMC
I would look for a charged one if i were to buy again. from personal experience you save a lot of cash buying a car thats allready modified if it's to your taste. but make sure it has been modified by someone who loves the car and has done everything properly.
