A lot of heat coming from under the car

I have noticed when I open the door and the engine is running there is a lot of heat coming from under the car, although engine is running at normal temps. The cabin also gets hot very quickly and air-con is needed most trips. Is this normal??

since i fitted the buddy club the floor above the Y pipe gets nice and warm lol

 

sat in london the other night in traffic and thats when i noticed it. since then i was like how on earth did i not notice this before.

pretty normal i think, the cats are i suppose just in line with the doors so the heat flows out the side and straight in when you open them.

If you look under the bonnet, there's an engine the size of a small car, along with a big long pipe which exhausts gases, also a big set of breaks which also gain alot of heat. Add all this up and you get ? Alot of heat sorry for the sarcasm-- it is normal
