jables
I've recently started doing some track work with the Z and noticed the ABS is cutting in way too soon. It also occasionally cuts in whilst coming to a gentle stop from as little as 5mph! Nissan have taken a look and confirmed that the ABS is too aggressive, but can't find any fault codes. The next step is to remove the brakes and check the ABS rings for damage. I'll also try looking for a fault code at the exact moment the problem occurs with the Nissan tech sat in the car. Anyone have any other suggestions? I've got another track day this Sat for which I'm seriously contemplating just pulling the ABS fuse. Darren-B
It could be the abs controller, my mate had this in his Rover 45 shed everytime he braked under 15mph it would activate the ABS on the front wheels. Wouldnt like to say it was definately that, could be a dirty sensor, or even a worn tyre knocking the wheel speeds out
M13KYF
what tyre sizes have you got on
jables
Rear tyres are 275,35,19 and the fronts 245,35,19. Pretty sure it happened with the original 18" Rays as well. Tyres seem to have even wear with about 4-5mm tread.
Neilp
Tyre sizes are fine. How's the tread looking?
jables
3-4mm passenger side, 5-6mm driver's side. So not that even, but then it's been an issue since the tyres were new, and even before with the oem wheels. I'm wondering if one of the ABS rings is causing a false reading.
