Rear Bumper

Just wondering if anyone can advise. My standard 350Z rear bumper has a "dent" in it just behind the passenger wheel arch. The paintwork is unmarked so I just don't understand how it happened. Anyway, knowing what these bumpers are made of does anyone know if a dent can be pushed out? Does it need heated and maybe rolled? If I take it to a bodyshop I suspect I will be told it needs a new bumper but I would rather know if repairs are possible. I'm new and not yet sure how to post a pic.

There's a place in Derby called Advanced Autobody, they took about 4 dents out the side of my mates boxster , plus it was cheap.

You've got the right idea regarding the heat.

 

My mrs had a dent in her plastic Audi A3 bumper and i warmed it up with a hairdryer and massaged it out with my fingers.

Looks more like a crease. That will be pretty hard to get out. Go and see some pros

Took it to a body repair garage today. They will try heat and roll and if not successful will repair with filler etc. Wouldn't mind but the rest of the bumper is in excellent condition. If anyone knows of a bumper in same colour and in excellent condition for sale then please post details. Thanks
