busa1300
I'am looking for some new front speakers around the £100 mark preferably with the least amount of modification. Kev
Dblock
I'am looking for some new front speakers around the £100 mark preferably with the least amount of modification. Kev Best off buying some mdf baffles so they are solid. Also why do you want to replace the speakers? Are you amping them?
un1eash
If replacing the front speakers you really do need to amp them. I cut up the old bose speakers and bonded my JL TR650-CSi's to the bracket. They were £100 and sound great but then that could be because there running of a £400 JL 300/2 Slash Amp.
busa1300
I wasn't going to amp them, i've fitted a new head unit but it still sounds like the speakers aren't that good a quality. In my last car i changed the standard speakers for infinity speakers without amping them and the sound was miles better. Kev
un1eash
I found my method of cutting up the old speaker the easiest option but you are limited on mounting depth. The JL's i used are 61.9mm deep and clear the window by about 8-10mm.
