greido
Hi, I'd like to canvass a bit of opinion on Brakes, my car is 3 and a half years old (296bhp model) and has covered 44,000 miles, the brake pads were first changed 2 years ago at 19,000 miles from the originals to Red Stuff and these now need replaced. I thought the Red stuff pads were pretty good but think I'd prefer something with a bit more bite (though it may have been the original discs that weren't as sharp as they could have been?) I pretty much think that the original Discs will now need replaced, when did you guys replace your discs? - What are your experience with the discs you got? - What were they and would you get them again? Also, are the Ferodo pads worth paying extra for over Red or Yellow stuff pads? - Do they last longer? - Produce Less Brake Dust? - Stop better? I'd be interested to hear any thoughts you may have on any of the above. Cheers, Gordon
Ruddles
Front discs and pads JUST replaced. 03 60k, New OEM Brembo discs and Ferodo DS2500 from ZMANALEX....had to collect my head from a few hundred metres down the road after some harsh braking on the new install!
