Chris s
I had my car remapped at RS Tuning, after i had a JWT pop charger, plenum spacer and the updated manifold, where it produced 299.3bhp (std is 296bhp), obviously I was slightly disappointed! I'm convinced my read diff is on it's way out (see my other posts), does anyone think this could have had a negative impact on my bhp read out???? introspect
Are you sure you were actually making 296 before the remap? Have you got the graphs?
Chris s
yeah it was definitely was, the obvious sign was the new location of the hazard lights
Ian
yeah it was definitely was, the obvious sign was the new location of the hazard lights I assume they did a before dyno? What did it make on that?
Chris s
it was about 288 or somewhere in that region... i know it's unlikely to make massive gains with a remap but i had hoped for a little bit more
Ian
11 BHP then, seems about average tbh
Stew
11bhp gain in a 350Z is pretty good if you are interested in topline figures. Have a look at the dyno thread for comparisons.
Mark@Abbey m/s
Rev up models never give the figure Nissan quote. 11bhp gain is pretty good gain with the mods you have fitted.
clarkie34
Mine dyno'd yesterday at 280 bhp with ARC airbox,MREV2 lower plenum and 5Zigen exhaust.Paul managed to get it back to 296 and I'm really impressed with the way it goes now.
Wasso
I think when Mark took mine for a spin on the dyno it was reading 276 after 4 years and 40k miles. Not too bad, although like Clarkie says - mods such as plenum, air box and exhaust will bring the car back to what is should be producing. Along the way giving a much sportier sound! introspect
yeah it was definitely was, the obvious sign was the new location of the hazard lights I meant was your engine actually producing the quoted 296 bhp to begin with I also have the '296' engine although my dyno run pre tune showed it wasn't actually making that much. As others have said, Nissan seem to have been a bit generous with the quoted bhp figures for the facelift model.
