350ZGT
Hi All, I have recently bought myself a early 2004 UK GT Coupe and after a couple of weeks of ownership I have a slight issue! It is a manual car and when the clutch pedal is not pressed it makes a funny noise from the front somewhere but when the clutch is pressed in the car sounds 'sweet' no funny noises at all. The clutch on the car was recently replaced so im assuming it wont be that (1000 miles ago). Could there be something wrong with the flywheel? I would appreciate some help please. Thanks

martinmac
Any idea if the clutch is a standard OEM replacement or an uprated one.

Neilp
Clutch rattle is normal. It's the dual mass flywheel. Very common, nothing to worry about.
terribleone
The clutch release bearing is noisy as hell on these cars, everyone I've spoken to with one has the same issue. I've read up on them, people have had them replaced only for the new ones to do the same within a few 1000 miles.
