P15UL T
lol no what he means is that it was his exhaust... i have since bought it i only tried a little autosol on the underside of the titainium pipe and to remove all the exhaust dirt i had to apply alot of presure which took the purple colour off....maybe its just dipped in something instead of being real titainium
rtbiscuit
invidia website says they are burnt titanium, as its a heat treatment it should go all the way through the metal. when i did the tips i used the same stuff and it didn't come off. it maybe that the burning doesnt go as far down as you think especially on the bottom. i could never get the tips back to silver, only a goldy finish,

I had the same with my 5zigen, with the blue tips, which I think are the same as the Invidia (it was an invidia wasnt it!!?!? King of Zorsts, True Dual ...) so not sure they are titanium, just Ti look. I think that they do it by adding a coating and then burning off so it may not be all the way through the pipe just on the outside.. If they are true Ti tips then I would have thought that it would have gone all the way through due to the density of the metal... But am not a metalurgist, and I bet your not prepared to keep rubbing to find out! And am not going to chop into the amuse to find out either!! 350 Russ
try getting a bit of APC on there and aggrivate with a brush, if that doesnt work then try some wheel cleaner that might be tough enough to clean it up?
3FIDDYZ
try getting a bit of APC on there and aggrivate with a brush, if that doesnt work then try some wheel cleaner that might be tough enough to clean it up? Slightly OT but I was going to use some to clean the car this weekend, but is APC pretty much the same as traffic film remover or is APC less on the scale to traffic film remover? And will APC or TFR (slight dilution) be good for getting water marks off metal?
rtbiscuit
constructed of SUS-304 fully polished stainless steel from the cat-back to the canister. (quoted from a sales page) can't get on the website as its down at the moment i think the tips are titanium i remember flicking the tips when i was cleaning it and the noise was not a steel sound. if your feeling brave you could always take a blow torch to them

You'd only want to be using it where you have to. I take it the metal is treated somehow if you dont want to use Autosol (or similar) on it? Watermarks can be "helped" off my placing some wet kitchen towel over the area and left for a bit. It re-hydrates the dried on deposits making them easier to remove. However if they have been baked on, it might not be so easy. On metal it could be easier to polish, with normal polish or metal polish
