350 Russ
whats the best way to clean foam applicators? i dont really want to leave them loaded with wax's and polishes. also im thinking of foaming my engine bay and i was wondering if there is anywhere in general i should cover up to stop the water getting in? or is it all pretty water tight all ready? Stew
I generally soak them and squeeze them out. Repeat until clean.
Biggy
i put mine in low temp wash, with a few of my buffing towels and a drying towel, used only conditioner, no powder, left them to dry naturally, once towels were dryish gave them 10 minutes in the tumble dryer on low heat, came up good as new. tez162003
if they have wax on them then you need to leave them in soak with something like washing up liquid, thats because washing up liquid can eat through the waxes unlike anything else,
Chris`I
Hand wash with Fairy and hot water. Apply the Fairy and squeeze/rinse until it feels clean. Air dry in the airing cupboard

Using conditioner is a bad idea especially with the drying towels as the conditioner containers agents which will stop the towel absorbing as much liquid. Especially bad for drying towels as you say, and also microfibres.
H5
As for the engine bay, cling film any electrical connectors. Spend plenty of time doing it making sure you've got them all.
