Sick of the BOSE and thinking of planting this in there.

My car has the factory kit with bluetooth adaptor and steering wheel controls. Will this unit plug straight in to the existing BOSE amp? Will I be able to use the steering wheel controls with it? Will the handsfree phone still work?

Sorry for nab questions but I need to know before I make half the gear in there useless and cost myself over £300. :bangin::blackeye:

How about this one which is the 2010 version of the one your posted?

You will need adapter leads however for your steering wheel controls to work.

The JVC should work well with Bose Amp as it has 5v line outs!

I dont think the factory bluetooth will work with it however but I'm sure some of the guys will point out if this is the case!

I was going to go for the AVX830 when I have some more dosh!

The first headunit (720) wont work with the bose system as it only has rear preouts, for a aftermarket headunit to work with the bose amps you need this adaptor...

and a headunit with front and rear preouts. The newer 730 model has these so i'd go for this one. To get the steering wheel controls to work you will need a JVC patch lead....

The OEM phone kit will no longer work though but you can get a module for the JVC to use a bluetooth phone.
