350 Russ Posted June 18, 2010 Posted June 18, 2010 i recently perchased this exhaust off of a member on here and was wondering if anyone else on here can help me out, the person i bought it off of said it fitted with no hassle and went well, but im looking at it thinking that the tail pipes stick out from the back box at different lengths? so anyone on here who has this exhaust can you please tell me if their back box sits square? 350 Russ Posted June 18, 2010 Author Posted June 18, 2010 i know, but the seller said in the ad that it fits fine so just wondering if the back box does sit square on them? Quote
3FIDDYZ Posted June 18, 2010 Posted June 18, 2010 Yeh that one looks fine... lets ship it out... You should be able to sort it (but shouldnt have too!) by bending the hangers... only way to find out is if you take the time to fit it.. Quote
Sarnie Posted June 18, 2010 Posted June 18, 2010 The one tip looks like it has been cut at an angle, the other looks a straight cut.... Quote
350 Russ Posted June 18, 2010 Author Posted June 18, 2010 ill be fitting it next week but dont want to have to butcher my current zorst to get off then find out this doesnt fit Quote
BladesGrant Posted June 18, 2010 Posted June 18, 2010 From memory it always looks worse off the car as well because the backbox doesn't sit square when fitted. So when its fitted and its at a slight angle it improves it slightly. My K2 doesn't follow the lines of the bumper when you look at it on the ramps. You should be able to fit and sort the tailpipes but like people have said you shouldn't have to. Quote

Husky Posted June 18, 2010 Posted June 18, 2010 the tip is cut squint becaus ewhen its fitted its so wayyy out that the tip would look odd if it wasnt cut. my thinking is that the angle that tip is missing is the angle the whole thing is out by.. Quote

Mine currently sits with the tail on the left (as your looking at the rear) pointing slightly back into the centre and ever so slightly lower than the one on the right. I don't think only having the one hanger helps as this will always mean the right tailpipe sits slightly higher than the left. This picture shows you how mine sit, going to have it sorted soon though. Quote
BladesGrant Posted June 18, 2010 Posted June 18, 2010 Also its not touching the bodywork of the car, thats just the angle at which I took the picture. Quote
BladesGrant Posted June 18, 2010 Posted June 18, 2010 I might add mine has had the hangers bent and isn't that bad now!! I don't think my kit helped with the look of it then either. Its a real shame as the exhaust itself I am really happy with. Quote
Stew Posted June 18, 2010 Posted June 18, 2010 It sat straight on Jasons car Russ. There are probably pics on here of the car that'd show it. I'm not sure if he had to adjust the hanger much or not. Quote

That's a relief, thanks stew Quote
BladesGrant Posted June 18, 2010 Posted June 18, 2010 I am sure you won't have much trouble mate. A little bit of messing and it will fit fine. Quote
