california987
Hi, I just noticed that there are some small splits on a belt type thing under the bonnet. Sorry I can't be more specific but not great with engines! Just wondered if I should be concerned or is it normal? They do not look very deep just a few little ones here and there. The belt is the thinner one of the two. Thanks for any input

california987
Brilliant thank you what happens if it were split before I got a chance to replace it? As I have heard horror stories of it messing up the engine and causing £1000+ of damage?
ATTAK Z
just keep an eye on your instruments ................... zeds have a cam chain rather than a belt so there's little chance of major damage provided you don't let the engine overheat when a belt snaps ... best to get them changed as soon as tho'
Chris`I
Best to post up a pic. Although they only run auxillery things such as air con or the alternator, they have been known to take things out when they snap. I think it was Ian that had it sever his air con line causing quite a bit of damage
ChrisS
I'd say just get the belts from Alex then you'l know it's OK. Alex is your man,he's fogotten more about zeds than most of us know
