Krumble
Has anyone replaced their windscreen recently? I had a stone hit mine this morning and put a 6" crack in the bottom right corner Will probably need replacing in the next few weeks (if it grows) and I was wondering if anyone had issues with getting a replacement.... Kennydies
You can probably claim on your insurance subject to your windscreen excess...
Krumble
Will definately be claiming on insurance - however its the competancy of the fitter I'm worried about... I have had windscreens replaced on my previous car - and autoscreens left marks on the inside of the dash and pillars.... Any recommedations / pitfalls to avoid... Krumble. Guest prescience
Can someone please post up the windscreen removal procedure from the service manual. You should print this off and provide to the installer. The issue is that they will also need the plastic (I think) trim as well as the screen itself. Once they have the procedure, it will be obvious to them and most will carry the parts anyway (probably).

captint
You could always buy a crash helmet and go into full on race mode.

Derek_ZR
I got my windscreen done in July and it was fine. They broke the first one putting it in the van when they were coming out to me but they got another for the next morning and did the job at my work.
