Kennydies
Good morning, I have my first service since I have owned the car at the end of the month. What oil is recommended at this milage? I am taking the car to a main stealer (Westover Nissan) do all dealers do a discount if you supply your own oil, I have never done that before. Any recomendations when taking your car to a garage, any do's and dont's? Thanks.
M13KYF
Speak to the guys at Amsoil or Opie oils. They'll be able to help you out and supply. I bought some silkolene Pro (synthetic). Comes recommended. http://www.opieoils.co.uk/
Kennydies
I have got the gist of Amsol 5W40, but would like a specific recomendation of an oil, did I see a discount for the site above somewhere? Has anyone not managed to get a discount when they supply their own oil?
kennyc
Yes you should get a discount by supplying your own oil although Dan Perkins in Slough have only offered £15 Amsoil 5W40 and Silkolene Pro S have both been recommended to me. PM an admin for discount codes.

bernmc
Amsoil all the way for me. While you;re at it get an amsoil oil filter too. You should be able to get the stealer to knock off the price of the oil they'd normally use, but as the use sh1t, don't expect much!
amsoil
Now in stock as from today (and it took 10 weeks for them to arrive here) The very new Amsoil EAO-20 oil filters still at the old SDF-20 price. There isn't a better filter available anywhere, infact there isn't one that even gets close. Stats are appx 98% at 15 microns compared with paper filters 37%. Only available here http://www.performanceoilsltd.co.uk/by- ... l#fullflow with details here https://www.amsoil.com/storefront/eao.aspx Contact admin for a discount code and get an extra 10% off The correct oil is a 5w-30 not a 40 weight.
