rich5259
most people with 275s are running 19" rims with 35% aspect ratio and 9" or 9.5" rim width 275/40 r 18 is only 1 mm different to standard diameter, so if your fitter is happy to put them on they should be ok (they might look a bit flat due the the extra width sitting on the standard rim)
showtime1
PROBALLY DONT WANT TO GO TOO WIDE THINKING 255 45 18 OR 265 45
ATTAK Z
PROBALLY DONT WANT TO GO TOO WIDE THINKING 255 45 18 OR 265 45 18 265 would need a 9" rim 255 18 45 would give a 1.33% difference any change at the rear may need to be compensated by a change at the front so as not to affect the lsd Check here http://www.alloywheels.com/tyrecalc.asp
Husky
best bet is go for a tyre suited to the rim, better to go for the correct tyre than an oversized one or you will actually lose handling. in the case of the standard rays its
