AK350Z
A video of our tuesday evening ride out. Perfect weather for one of the lakes most Alpine of circuits; a climb of Skiddaw, followed by a descent of the huge and loooong Ullock Pike ridge. http://maps.google.co.uk/maps?ll=54.652564,-3.176846&spn=0.017975,0.055575&t=f&z=15&ecpose=54.66369547,-3.20478291,1565.56,124.55,64.183,0 Its proper epic riding, and although its a good hour and a half plus to the top, with a fair bit of pushing, it's all worth it for the way down! You can see in the video my couple of comedy slo-mo falls on the initial scree descent from the summit, the camera really doesn't capture how pant-wettingly steep it is! Yeah its over 9 mins long, but if you've read this far you're probably interested anyway! Hardware taken was: Me: On-one 456 Phil: Spesh Hardrock Chris: Abused Orange

Pimm
That looks great fun and i agree with what you said the camera does not justify how fast you are going. The the sheep chasing at the very end
bronzee
What a view ha, all that to take in whilst hurtling down the tracks. The hill climbing is only the way to the top. Having been a mountain biker and being a keen hiker, can totally appreciate the terrain. Looks like an absolute blast. What were the adrenalin levels like when you reached the bottom?! Thank you for sharing the lovely countryside and the vid.
AK350Z
It wasn't so much the adrenaline, but the massive arm pump! We had to stop a few times just to give our arms and braking fingers a rest. Wish I had a full sus, but I'm saving up for one; £20 a week in a pot! Should be good to go by next spring edit: Forgot to say, if you hadn't already guessed, I used one of those ubiquitous £10 keyfob style cameras to film it with. Pleased with the results, and no great loss if i crash

Come up to Glentress if you haven't already been, its a great downhill
