Rob-Hughes
Hi there all, Had to get an emissions test done as part of the MOT style test out here, the car failed. The CO2 reading was fine but the Lambda reading was to high at 1.042. Went to the local main dealer here and run it on their machine and it failed again with similar readings. The Nissan machine didnt pick up any reading from the 2 sensors forward of the cats, the mechanic reckons these are broke and that is the cause. So my questions to you all is this, is this a common fault or bad luck that both have gone and is approx 500 euro (450 quid) about right to supply and fit? Car is a 2004 UK GT with 27000 miles. Many thanks, Rob

Rob-Hughes
Nissan Germany have quoted 165 euro each and 150 euro for fitting and emissions test. Unfortunately I've had to go with that option due to time constraints. Not happy tho.

Rob-Hughes
Yeah I know, got a lot on at the moment with work and having issues getting access to my tools. It was easier to just get them to do it. Poor excuse I know but its just a one-off.
