Rambling indecisiveness

I'm booked in for a service at Abbey next month and I'm umming and arring about having the uprev reflash done at the same time.

 

I'll need four new tyres shortly (well.. need 2 for the rear and want 2 to match on the front) so really it's a decision between the tyres or the reflash. Tyres can always be done in July instead (assuming I don't get the bill for the engine replacement in my Land Rover in the meantime) and it just seems so damn convenient having it all done at the same time.

 

Not got many mods on the car, just the induction kit and a K2 on the back so not entirely sure of the value in getting the reflash done now. Especially in view of the fact I want to replace the Y pipe and possibly the cats at some vague, undetermined date in the future and I assume it will need another fine tune after them.

 

What are your thoughts guys?

 

Worth doing now or would it make more sense to wait until I've replaced more bits?

Thats my idea too but money is not my friend at the moment, by the time ive bought the spacer ,Y pipe and induction kit and then the reflash it becomes a bit of a dear do... probably going to do it in stages but I reckon the upgrade will be well worth it

As you are planning to do Y-pipe and HFCs, hold off on the reflash until then

id definatly hold off till you ahve the Y pipe or get that done same time as its cheap and will make a difference.

Mac, talk to abbey whilst your there they might be able to give you a good idea on mods to make the most of the flash you want to get done in the future.
