Foglight Conversion

hi,

 

Ive got a JDM zed but have an ugly bolt on foglight, is there anything i can do to make it part of the cluster on the RHS?

Take a look at these pictures mate... should be easy enough to do yourself with a dremmel and and afternoon:

 

 

 

If your fog existing fog light is the right size, you can use that, if not i think they're only a tenner from halfords...

If you want a dremmel-free alternative see below:

 

Firstly this is the light i am working with:

 

you will need to chop the wires on the rear of the light after the connector (see below):

 

following that, change the light (shown disconnected) to a red bulb and connect the wires from the bulb to the ones powering your existing foglight.

 

Failing that you could buy a UK cluster with bulbs (from Nissan for approx £60) and do exactly the same! (which is what i've done)

Thanks, they seem ok, but TBH i was looking for a bolt on job as ive already got an FTO Drag car which im always working on, so wanted to keep the zed as a non modder! but the second option does seem less hassle, prob get hold of a uk cluster.

I've painted my bulb red and added a cable to light it whenever it's needed.

Three hour work tops.

if you already have the wiring for the fog, just take that wiring over to the cluster, splice it in place of the reverse light and put a red bulb in.
