Choices choices choices, wouldn't it be great if we had a way to compare tyres

 

1) from new

2) 5k

3) 10k

 

Put it around a track, on wet, on dry..

 

Would be good next time an event happens we swap wheels for a quick test??

 

Anyway, back to the topic.... been reading reviews about the : Hankook Ventus S1 evo and tempted to brave it. Not a brand I would usually relate to and have been tempted by the falkens (heavily discussed), Sessantas or the F1 Assymetrics.

 

You think i am doing the right thing?? :S

honkooks are menat to be good, but never had much to do with them, some of the MR2 lads ran them, seemed happy enough. but different cars.

 

have a chat with Dixon at DMS as i think he runs some track cars on them.

I'd be inclined to trust back-to-back magazine tests rather than forum opinions Have seen several good reviews for the Ventus V12s as well:

dont forget that tyres work different on different cars as weight, suspension, geometry etc differ from car to car...plus same tyres can be so much different from 205/45/16 lets say to 275/35/19 sizes

just stay away from the chinese tyres...all i can say

and remember that caranddriver is American, so they get different compounds on the same make of tyre
