Cookbot
Ahhh, I can't decide! Both are only missing a fuel pump Turbo = $500 cheaper Bitch to install Comes with some exhaust I don't want which I can flog Little less known about it than the Vortech No boost = better fuel More torque SC= Easier install Nice shiny polished Known about and others have done it on here What's the general feel about turbo'd Z's? feels a little like it's a car that suits SC better for some reason. Cookbot
This Turbonetics one: http://my350z.com/forum/turbos-nitrous- ... 300-a.html As much as I fancy the Turbo and it's a little less £, I think the Vortech makes more sense really. Probably a little safer on stock internals too.
andlid
Vortech so!
djtimo
Vortech over turbonetics mate. If you have the extra cash go for a boosted performance mid mount. BY FAR the best stock block system on the market at the moment. It would not take much to get it to fit a UK car.
andlid
Shut up about the mid turbo... that's my gig
Cookbot
Well the bulk of the bits have been found, just some injectors and fuel return to find now. Might fit a Walbro pump though aswell. My FI experiance currently stands me at roughly £2300 for the HKS kit, oil cooler, spark plugs, cusco catch can and AMM oil sump. I don't think that's too bad really!

Cookbot
Injectors sourced, some fuel return bits found and....... a cheap run around car bought for when I'm replacing the soon to be shagged rods and pistons A non turbo 1.5ltr diesel feels pretty slow, but I could get used to 70mpg!!! Hero chariot. TUD5 engines rule. Btw put an induction kit on it will make it 2 seconds faster to 60 no joke. Also if you got the bosch pump throw some vegi oil in there it will run sweet. Cookbot
Veg oil you say.... Started work on the Z today, but had to stop due to the crappy light in these short days. Managed to fit one of those mesh grills from Z man, remove the airbox, crash bar and the Idler pulley which was stuck on good! Tomorrow is spoken for and so is new years day, so it'll have to wait

Cookbot
The build continues. I've spend today modding the bracket and just need to clean it up with a file...took about 4 hours of filling and dremal grinding to get it to roughly fit! Pics of now butchered bracket to follow. Cookbot
The bracket weight saving mods have been completed, making this the best HKS S/C kit in existence! Got a few days away now, so not much will happen for a while. just need to find a fuel return and fuel pump to finish this off though now. Look, it fits and everything! dcash5
That looks like a serious bodge as you have cut away alot of metal! I wouldnt imagine HKS just put all that metal just for for sh!ts and giggles Good luck but I'd seriously be thinking what to write on your epitaph
