srobrien
Hi, who has installed a catch can and which type, i'm not interested in bling bling £1000000000 ARC ones, just ones that look good and do the job. R
BladesGrant
I am interested in a catch can as well so will look forward to seeing replies to this. I know Shire has one fitted, definitely seen loads about but can't recall who now!!
dcash5
Cusco do some half decent ones or Mocal
yokomo
same thinking of getting one too , theres plenty of reasonable looking ones on ebay inc the cusco. only slihgt issue i see wiht th emore generic ones is they only have 2 inputs so would need a T pipe for both valve covers. BladesGrant
I am looking at this one at the moment priced at £58. Think it looks pretty decent:
nurrish
Take a look where you can fit it
BladesGrant
Take a look where you can fit it Thats hopefully a question people with them fitted to offer advice. I think I have only seen them fitted in front of the plenum. Depends if you can bracket it anywhere else I suppose. Thankfully most of us will have more room under our bonnets than you though!! srobrien
Just stick it in there with some tie wraps R
BladesGrant
The only one I have seen with 3 outputs is the ARC which is ££££. I presume its normal for only 2 outputs but the Zed needs 3? Have no idea of the connections for them.
srobrien
I think 2 is fine...ive just gone for the cusco. R
Ian
2 is fine, it just won't connect to the intake aswell No need for any t-pieces as you remove a pipe that runs between 2 ports & plug a cable into each
yokomo
ah so it can be done wiht just 2 connections , does it need a breather aswell ?
BladesGrant
Whats the difference if it doesn't connect to the intake? Or maybe the question should be whats the benefit of connecting to the intake?
Ian
ah so it can be done wiht just 2 connections , does it need a breather aswell ? Yes and no I've run both Cusco and ARC Cusco ARC To install the cusco, remove this pipe Then run a hose from each connector to the cusco can. The ARC can only uses one of those hoses, so you block the other one off. Then there is a hose that runs from the underside of the intake pipe to the back of the engine block - remove this & then a hose into the back of the engine & another into the intake pipe

yokomo
so the cusco only connects to one cylinder head ? if that works ok then it sa pretty simple install .
