martinmac
Z Club Drag Challenge 2010 Huge difficulty in selecting suitable dates for simple RWYB days at Santa Pod this year - virtually every weekend is packed with other Club and event stuff. However, herewith the PROVISIONAL dates list of six rounds, pre-season gathering and rain-off contingency. Same rules apply as last season - call, e-mail or PM for a copy. 7th March - pre-season gathering for the faithful few - probably too early for many... 27th March (Saturday) - Round 1 22nd May (Saturday) - Round 2 17th July (Saturday) - Round 3 - option to stay over for Retro Show on the Sunday. If enough interest, we could extend to include times posted on the Sunday where track time will be more limited. 22nd August (Sunday) - Round 4 (the Saturday is Rotorstock 7 with RWYB facility. Again, the meeting could be extended to include times run at Rotorstock if anyone wants to make a weekend of it) 4th September (Saturday) - Round 5 24th October (Sunday) - Round 6 31st October (Sunday) - Rain-off contingency round In addition: 4th July (with RWYB facility both Saturday 3rd and the Sunday) - JapShow 1. This could be a round of the Drag Challenge again, but would need prior commitment and organisation to ensure we had a pit space. 3rd October - JapShow 2 The Finals - as above. Saturday dates in the Drag Challenge have come about because Santa Pod have swapped their Test and Tune days for the big racers to the Sundays. These days are available for RWYB, but at increased costs and sign-on limited to 100 entries, many of which will have been booked in advance. Costs this year: RWYB: Gate £10 per person; sign-on for unlimited runs £25 Test & Tune days: Gate £12; track time £60 (£50 if booked in advance) Saturday Special: Gate £10; sign-on 9am - 9pm £30, 9am - 4pm £25, 4pm - 9pm £10. JapShows: Gate £15 Sunday only, £25 weekend; track Saturday £25 unlimited, Sunday £20 per four runs. Rotorstock and Retro: Gate £15 Sunday only, £25 weekend; track £25 unlimited per day.
