H5
If it's not OEM, declare it. It's not worth the thousands of pounds worth of pain or the criminal record for the sake of a few quid now.....
Ebized
I got a multi-car quote from admiral yesterday, i declared the induction kit which didnt seem to bother them and the quote worked out to around £650. Then i mentioned the wheel spacers (in my opinion hardly worth mentioning but still best to be on the safe side) The chap wasnt sure what they were so dissappeared off to talk to his supervisor. He came back and said the wheel spacers would put the car into the "high risk" category and the quote would be over £3000 WTF! I assured the guy how trivial they were but they were sticking to their guns on it. Bizzare. My GF said 'You will just have to take off the wheel spacers then' My response: errrrr........ i dont think so!! Time to shop around - if your over 25 try one of our advertisers on here - I did, got a good price and when I later rang to say I had fitted spacers they noted it said thank you and no extra charge
